To make it easier to calculate your editing cost, here’s a guide based on typical manuscript formatting (double-spaced, 12pt font, standard margins).

Finding Your Word Count:

• Microsoft Word: Look at the bottom left of your screen for “Words.”

• Google Docs: Go to Tools → Word count.

• Scrivener: Go to Project → Statistics → Words.

• Manually estimating pages: 1 double-spaced page ≈ 250 words.
