How This Service Works

After completing your purchase, you will receive an order confirmation email with simple next steps.

Please email your manuscript as a Word document (.doc or .docx), or provide a shared Google Docs or Dropbox link, to info@DanicaDeLaMora.com. Be sure to include your order number in the subject line so we can promptly match your manuscript to your purchase.

Once your manuscript is received, we will review the word count and overall scope, then confirm the estimated timeline and any final details before editing begins. You will hear from us within 1–2 business days to confirm next steps.

Editing is completed with great care and attention to detail. When your manuscript is finished, your edited file will be returned to you electronically, along with any relevant notes or suggestions.

Most copyediting projects do not require a consultation. However, if you feel a brief conversation would be helpful to clarify goals or expectations, you may request a consultation after submitting your manuscript. Consultations are optional and are scheduled by appointment.

  This service includes professional copyediting only (grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, and clarity). It does not include developmental editing, rewriting, content expansion, or fact-checking unless explicitly stated.

• Manuscript Readiness
  Manuscripts should be complete and in their final draft before submission. Substantial changes requested after editing has begun may require additional fees.

• Word Count Accuracy
  Pricing is based on the word count selected at checkout. If the submitted manuscript exceeds the purchased word count range, an additional invoice will be issued before work continues.

• Timeline & Turnaround
  Turnaround times are estimates and begin once the manuscript has been received, reviewed, and confirmed. Expedited services are prioritized but still subject to reasonable professional timelines.

• Author Responsibility
  The author retains full responsibility for the final content, factual accuracy, legal compliance, and permissions related to their manuscript.

• Revisions
  One reasonable round of follow-up clarification is included. Extensive revisions or new content requests are outside the scope of this service.

• Confidentiality
  All manuscripts and materials are handled with discretion and treated as confidential.

• No Guarantees of Publication or Sales
  Editing services improve clarity and quality but do not guarantee acceptance by publishers, distributors, or specific sales outcomes.

• Refund Policy
  Due to the time-intensive and customized nature of editorial services, refunds are not available once work has begun.
