How This Service Works

All Professional Proofreading orders are manual due to varying word counts. You have two options to initiate the service:

  1. Contact Us First — request a quote and instructions for submission.

  2. Submit the $0 Order — add this listing to your cart and checkout; this alerts us that you want this service. No payment is required at this stage.

Once we have your manuscript (Word doc, Google Doc, Dropbox, etc.), we will:

  • Review the manuscript and calculate total word count

  • Send you a secure invoice via email with a “Pay for this Order” link

  • Begin proofreading only after payment is received

Typically, you’ll hear from us within 1–2 business days after submission to confirm the quote and estimated timeline.

  • No changes are made to your content or structure.

  • Errors are corrected with tracked changes, so you retain full control.

  • Rush service is available for faster turnaround (limited availability, $100 flat fee).
