Film & Tape Transfer to Digital

Description

Preserve your legacy recordings by transferring film and tape media into high-quality digital files. This service converts aging analog materials into accessible digital formats while respecting the integrity of the original recordings.

Transfers are performed in real time using professional capture equipment designed for legacy media formats. No content is altered, enhanced, or reconstructed unless optional services are requested.

• 8mm & Super 8 film

• VHS & VHS-C tapes

• Audio cassette tapes

Digital File Delivery (Included)

Your completed digital files will be delivered via a secure online download (Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar). This is included in the base price and works for most clients without additional cost.

Optional Paid Add-Ons

If you prefer physical media delivery, these may be added to your order separately:

• USB Flash Drive — $20 per drive (click here)

• External Hard Drive — $60 per drive (client may also supply their own) (click here)

• DVD Copy — $10 per disc (click here)

Pricing Structure

Film (8mm & Super 8)

• Transfer to digital — $20 per 50 ft.

VHS / VHS-C

• Transfer to digital — $25 per tape

Audio Cassette

• Transfer to digital — $20 per tape

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for shipping media to us. Prepaid return shipping is required and may be purchased separately.

Condition Requirements

Media must be in stable condition to be transferred safely.
If your film or tapes show signs of:

• Mold or mildew

• Sticky, brittle, or shedding tape

• Broken film splices or leaders

Cleaning and stabilization services may be required prior to transfer and are offered separately (here).

Important Notes

• Transfer quality is limited by the condition and original recording quality of the source media.

• Digitization does not guarantee improved audio or video clarity.

• Very large collections may require physical media for delivery.
